Planning & development
If you are building a new home, you need a BASIX Certificate to submit with your development application.
From July 1 2005, BASIX applies throughout NSW for Houses, Dual Occupancies, Villas, Townhouses, and Multi-Unit Apartments. From October 1, 2005, BASIX applies to alterations and additions made to existing homes, across NSW.
Owner Builders
Before you can apply for an owner builder permit for works valued at over $12,000.00 you will have to complete an Office of Fair Trading approved Owner Builder Course.

- 149 Zoning Certificates
- 149D Building Certificates
- Building Approvals and Inspections
- Development Applications
- Drainage Diagram
- Plumbing and Drainage Permits, Inspections and Final Certificates
- Septic Tank Approvals
- Street Numbering and Rural Addressing
- Town Planning
